ROOSTER TOURS RUGBY
Since 2009 we took part in this fantastic competition as the Kriel Roosters. Then this year after we battle to get a team together for the Phuket 10’s, the management team decides to break away from the club and start the ROOSTER TOURS. This management team will only concentrate on rugby tours while the players will be playing for their clubs.
We are a group of 46 people from Kriel and Middelburg which consist of 18 rugby players, 4 oldies, team manager, coach, 16 woman and 6 supporters.
This year we will first make a turn in Bangkok and hopefully the heads will be sharp after a good practice against the Bangers in Bangkok. Most of our players are tour virgins this year although full of experience, which means it is a completely different team. Once again the ROOSTERS aim is still to bring youth, experience, dynamic, speed, agility, superb handling & skills to the tournament.
One thing is for certain, the ROOSTERS will make their presence be felt on and off the field. I believe many strong bonds will be formed like only a rugby tour can do.
We would like to wish the other teams all the very best for the forthcoming tournament and looking forward to supporting the ACF on and off the field.
Oh!! Don’t forget when you hear the sound of Vuvuzela and see this funny Rooster, then you will know the Roosters from South Africa has arrived.
