Open & Coffin Dodgers Comps - Taipei Baboons & Silverbacks

Open Tournament
Taipei Baboons - Taiwan

Disappointed by mediocre results in 2011, the Taipei Baboons went back to the drawing board and completely revamped their playing style for the 2012 season. The lack of high-quality rugby players was plain for all to see, but what the very transient Baboon player base suddenly had an abundance of was powerful, sexually aggressive South American youth.
How could we harness this resource?

It was decided that if we couldn’t win on the scoreboard, then at least the opposition shouldn’t be allowed to walk away smiling after the game. Baboon games now resemble a sort of debased prison shower scene from some B-grade Spanish movie. Bands of lusting Latin Americans roam the field looking to strip and molest the slow and weak.
To all teams, please warm up thoroughly before you play the Baboons. Localized stretching is very important. Don’t get caught alone.

 Coffin Dodgers Tournament
Taipei Silverbacks

The Phuket 10s holds a special place in the hearts of Silverbacks, with the 2011 tournament marking the team’s inaugural game. Despite being knocked out by the eventual champs Morrabbin Rams from Australia, the Silverbacks were happy with how they went and are excited to be back for another crack the premier event of the weekend – the Coffin Dodgers’ Comp.

Fresh off a nail-biting 7-5 win in the final of the Manila 10s Veterans’ Division, the Silverbacks’ squad is packed with experience; some of it even rugby-related.
Silverbacks Quote of the Weekend: “I used to be fat. I still am but I used to, too.”
