PATTAYA PANTHERS
Fresh from their sterling performance
in The Amari Orchid Pattaya Chris Kays Memorial 10’s, which was held strangely
enough at our home ground the Horseshoe Point Resort, the Panthers are looking
to make their mark on other tournaments across the country. Following the
FRENCH REVOLUTION we now have a cadre of French speakers, who enjoy not only
their rugby but a good party!!!! So with their now famous pink tails held high
in the air the Panthers have set their sights on creating a stir in Phuket not
only in the rugby stadium at The Kata Group Sports Ground but also along Soi
Bangla!!! Apart from the French contingent we have a polyglot group of party
lovers led by Coach Des Halls, who is a wily old fox and will certainly ensure
that the team enjoy themselves. Also our world famous DJ “ Robbie Luurve”, who
is a rugby whore and will play with anybody!!! The Pattaya Panthers have also
discovered youth and several of our players are still young enough to
appreciate Lady Gaga so the Katoeys on Soi Bangla had better watch out for the
Mighty Boner and Bryan ( “ I do love myself “ ) De Leon and it will be hard to
miss our South African brothers B1 and B2 as well as our indomitable leader
Capitaine Adrien and his cohorts Maxim, Pierre, Olivier and Guy. The Panthers
haven’t been in Pattaya for 5 years, now so this is a return that we hope will
end in victory!!! Many thanks to Pat Cotter and his organizing team, who have
fitted us in at the last minute wishing the tournament and of course the
Panthers every success.
